The Reconciliation Hoax by Mumtaz Bhutto.

Ijaz Tareen's picture

Strictly speaking, reconciliation commonly takes place between feuding spouses, with the intervention of a marriage counsellor. In the context of Pakistani politics, it would be more appropriate to call the ruling grouping of political parties a coalition. These are common all over the world when political parties not having the numerical strength in the assemblies to form governments. However, such linkups are always based on declared basic principals designed to provide good governance.

5 Steps to Better Communication

While it would be nice to have the oratory skill of Winston Churchill or to possess the ability to write like T.S. Eliot you don’t have to be a polished public speaker or a prolific writer to be an effective communicator. It can take years of training to master the art of weaving together great word pictures in either written or oral form.

Those of you reading this article looking for the latest lawyer joke will likely be disappointed in the text that follows. Silent Famine : Wake up Pakistan.

Ijaz Tareen's picture

The situation could not be clearer, or more desperate. Pakistan is running out of water and power -- fast. Nothing has been done to improve or increase either power productivity or water resources for almost a decade. Poor governance and provincial rivalry have contributed to the chronically under-resourced position we find ourselves in today.

Too popular for his own good

Ijaz Tareen's picture

Power brooks no rivals and My Lord Iftikhar Chaudhry has become too much of a popular star for his own good. If the people had a choice they would re-install him Chief Justice at once, cymbals clashing and drums beating. And celebrate this reversal of fortune into the night. Unfortunately the decision about his reinstatement is in other hands and those hands have other priorities.

Catalyzing Change

Ijaz Tareen's picture

Change…as and executive or entrepreneur it can either be your best friend or your worst nightmare. While there is little debate that the successful implementation of change can create an extreme competitive advantage, it is not well understood that the lack of doing so can send a company (or an individual’s career) into a death spiral. Nobody ever said change was easy, but I’m here to tell you that change is essential. In today’s blog post I’ll discuss why CEO’s and entrepreneurs need to become masters at catalyzing change within their organizations.

What does these Lawyers want?

Ijaz Tareen's picture

One can clearly understand what the X-CJ Ch Iftikhar wants, he wants his job back and he thinks it will somehow serve Freedom of Judiciary, its his view.

Again one can understand what Aitzaz Ahsan wants, he wants his client Chief Justice restored, in countries like Pakistan it never hurts to have a Chief Justice as a client especially if you are a Supreme Court Lawyer.

An Indian boy on his first day at school in USA.(Laughs)

It was the first day of school and a new student named Chandrashekhar Subrahmanyam entered the fourth grade.
The teacher said, "Let's begin by reviewing some American History.

Who said, "Give me Liberty, or give me Death"?
She saw a sea of blank faces, except for Chandrashekhar, who had his hand up: "Patrick Henry, 1775" he said.

"Very good!" Who said, "Government of the People, by the People, for the People, shall not perish from the Earth?"
